Welcome to FreeBillGen, a free hosted invoicing service operated by MB Libranet at freebillgen.com. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. Read them carefully - they explain what we provide, what we do not, and how disputes are handled.
Acceptance of terms
These Terms of Service form a binding agreement between you and the operator of the service. If you do not accept any part of these terms, please do not register or use the service.
You confirm that you have legal capacity to enter this agreement and, if you are using the service on behalf of a company, that you are authorised to bind that company.
Description of the service
FreeBillGen is a web-based tool for creating, sending, and managing invoices and related business documents, provided as software-as-a-service over the public internet.
We provide the service on an "as available" basis. We continuously improve features and may add, modify, or remove functionality without prior notice unless these terms say otherwise. A completed Lifetime Pro purchase retains its named software entitlements; necessary security, legal, or service-discontinuation changes remain subject to the sections below.
Free core and optional Pro
The core invoicing service - creating, downloading and managing invoices - is free of charge for personal and small-business use, with no trials, no hidden fees and no surprise charges.
We also offer an optional "Pro" tier that unlocks power-user extras (multiple companies, the write API and webhooks, Xero/QuickBooks export formats, and auto-send on recurring schedules). Pro is additional to the current free core. You are charged only if you choose to buy Pro and give explicit consent at checkout.
Pro is offered to new buyers only as a one-time lifetime purchase. The total is €49, including applicable VAT, GST, sales tax, or another location-specific tax. There is no renewal or subscription. Paddle.com Market Ltd calculates and shows the exact tax breakdown before you pay.
The lifetime purchase is a single payment with no recurring charge and grants non-expiring access to the named Pro software features in the accepted offer. Optional metered third-party services are not included; when offered, they use separate one-time credit packs that do not renew. We do not offer an annual plan to new buyers.
If you hold a legacy annual purchase, its original renewal and cancellation terms remain available through the secure Paddle billing portal; no new annual purchase can be started.
As a consumer in the EU, EEA or United Kingdom, you generally have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal for online purchases. By choosing immediate access, you expressly ask us to begin providing Pro before that period ends. FreeBillGen does not use that request to shorten the 14-day route described here: eligible withdrawal and full-refund requests may be submitted during that period through the withdraw from your purchase page. After that period, no automatic refund applies; contact us if you believe a refund is due.
Eligible refunds are returned to your original payment method. A refunded purchase, or a successful chargeback, ends Pro access.
A refunded Lifetime Pro purchase or successful chargeback ends its Pro entitlements. A grandfathered annual plan ends under its original cancellation terms. In either case, your invoices and data remain fully accessible and exportable - your data rights never depend on Pro.
Account responsibilities
If you create an account, you agree to the following responsibilities.
- One account per operator (natural person or single legal entity). Sharing a single account between unrelated parties is not permitted.
- Keep your password and any second-factor credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
- Provide accurate registration information and keep it up to date, especially your billing details, business name, and contact email.
- Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access, lost credentials, or any other security issue affecting your account.
- Use the service in compliance with all laws applicable to you, including invoicing, tax, accounting, and consumer protection rules in your jurisdiction.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use the service in ways that harm us, our other users, or third parties. In particular, you must not:
- Use the service for any unlawful purpose, including fraud, money laundering, or issuing fake invoices.
- Send unsolicited bulk email, spam, or phishing messages through the service or its email-sending features.
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the service or attempt to bypass authentication, rate limiting, or other security measures.
- Scrape, crawl, or otherwise extract data from the service in bulk without prior written permission.
- Resell, sublicense, or rebrand the service as your own without a separate written agreement with us.
Your data
You retain ownership of the business data you enter, including client records, invoice content, and uploaded files. We process it to operate, secure, administer, and troubleshoot the service, meet legal obligations, and enforce these terms, as described in the Privacy Policy.
Our Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we process it, who receives it, how long we keep it, and the safeguards we use. The GDPR rights notice explains how to exercise your rights. These documents provide information about data processing; they are not consent terms.
No tax or legal advice
FreeBillGen is a software tool. It is not a substitute for professional tax, accounting, or legal advice. Tax rates, invoicing rules, and reporting obligations vary by country, region, and business type, and they change over time.
You are solely responsible for the legal, tax, and accounting accuracy of any document you create with the service. We make no warranty that any template or default setting is correct for your specific situation.
Warranty disclaimer
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure against every possible attack, or that defects will be corrected within a specific timeframe.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, or business interruption, arising from your use of or inability to use the service.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded under mandatory law, including liability for intentional misconduct, gross negligence, or for damage to life, body, or health.
Where our liability is not excluded by the paragraphs above, the total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or in connection with the service is limited, per affected user, to one hundred euros (EUR 100) or - for users on a paid Pro plan - the greater of that amount and the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Termination
You may stop using the service at any time. You can request account deletion or a data export by emailing info@freebillgen.com or by using the in-app export tools described on the data export page.
We may suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice, if you breach these terms, if your use threatens the security or integrity of the service, or if required by law. Data retention after termination is described in our Privacy Policy.
Service discontinuation
We may discontinue the service in whole or in part. If we plan to permanently discontinue it, we will provide reasonable advance notice (at least 30 days where practicable) and a means to export your data before shutdown.
We are not liable for losses arising from discontinuation of the service beyond providing the export window described above and any refund required by applicable law or the purchase terms you accepted.
Governing law
These terms and any non-contractual obligations arising from them are governed by the laws of the Republic of Lithuania, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. EU mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence still apply where they grant you stronger rights.
Dispute resolution
We aim to resolve any dispute amicably. Please contact us first using the email address in the contact section so we can try to settle the matter informally.
EU consumers can find recognised alternative dispute resolution bodies through the European Commission's consumer redress resources. Availability, participation and procedure depend on the dispute and the applicable law. The former EU Online Dispute Resolution platform closed on 20 July 2025.
If informal resolution fails, the dispute shall be resolved by the competent courts of the Republic of Lithuania at the operator's domicile, unless mandatory consumer protection law assigns jurisdiction elsewhere.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The updated text and its effective date will be published on this page. Changes do not reduce a completed Lifetime Pro purchase's named software entitlements except where a security, legal or service-discontinuation change described in these terms requires it. Mandatory consumer rights continue to apply.
