What it does.
FreeBillGen generates tax-compliant PDF invoices for freelancers and small businesses worldwide. It supports multiple currencies, multiple numbering series, client and company management, recurring billing schedules, and jurisdiction-aware tax logic - VAT in Europe and Africa, GST in Asia and Australia, sales tax in the Americas, consumption tax everywhere else - for 110+ countries today, with country-specific extras (quarterly tax reports, reverse-charge wording, small-business notes, intra-EU Art. 138 item-type disclosure) built in where required. It also exports structured e-invoices (Factur-X under EN 16931, Peppol BIS 3.0 UBL and country formats) for the 2026 mandate wave, receives supplier e-invoices in a free inbound inbox, stamps a SEPA scan-to-pay QR code on euro invoices, and, on the optional Pro tier, can collect card payments online with Pay now settling to your own Stripe.

Why is it free?
Searched for a free invoice tool that just worked. Country-correct VAT, clean PDFs, no trial timers, no paywalled exports. Every option was a SaaS subscription priced higher than the invoices it would help send, or a free tier that capped at three a month. Built this one instead.
Issuing an invoice is a basic act of working for yourself - so creating and downloading one is, and stays, free: no card, no invoice limit, no watermark. Running the service is not free for us, though: servers, the email pipeline, integrations and support all cost real money. A small, optional Pro tier covers only the genuinely expensive extras (multiple companies, the write API, accounting export), so the free core stays sustainable instead of degrading or showing ads. No investors, no growth targets, no analytics, no third-party trackers, no data to sell.
