What this document is for

Use an invoice to request payment for goods or services already supplied, or at an agreed billing milestone. Keep a unique number and the records required in your country.

What it is not

An invoice is not proof that payment was received. It may also be insufficient where a tax authority requires a structured e-invoice, clearance, or network delivery.

When to use another document

Use a quote before committing to a price, an estimate when the final scope is uncertain, a proforma for a non-fiscal advance document, or a receipt after payment.

Is this invoice generator free?

Yes. You can create and download the PDF without an account, email address, watermark, or generator limit.

Does the PDF make my invoice legally compliant?

No tool can decide that from a blank form. Required fields, tax treatment, numbering, and e-invoice delivery depend on the transaction and country.

Is my invoice data saved?

Not by default. The anonymous form is processed to create the PDF and is not written to the FreeBillGen database.
